James moved into hospitality from the world of finance and credit analysis, joining the Marriott Graduate Finance Programme following a year of exposure across operational departments within the UK Pennine Cluster. James spent two years at Marriott HQ (Frankfurt Office) in the Europe Finance Reporting & Analysis team before moving to HVS, where he gained valuable exposure to feasibility, valuation and asset management projects for owners and operators across Europe and Africa.

James then moved to YOTEL; where he set up and led their global Feasibility team during a period of accelerated growth, following investment from Starwood Capital Group, on a variety of acquisition, leased, Management and Franchised opportunities. In 2019, James accepted an opportunity to rejoin Marriott as Director, Development Planning and Feasibility, where he worked on projects across Europe, prior to joining the Investment team at Hamilton.
